Domingos de Barros Octaviano
Domingos de Barros Octaviano was born in 1985, in São Paulo, and since 2016 he lives in Germany. His works – painting, ceramics and drawing – have circulated in countries such as Brazil, Serbia and Germany. His works are part of a mostly intuitive process, and his research is influenced by memories and experiences. Between the playful, the abstract and the Folk art, Domingos externalizes a complex internal universe that is always subject to expansion.
Painting is a constant process in the past, it’s existence depends on the moment one looks at it. Then it becomes alive. Discussions in the field of painting and sculpture by Brazilian, foreign, Folk and Outsider artists interest me a lot.
