"Action, Reaction. I could not keep my arms crossed looking at the actual sociopolitic panorama. Apart from my conceptual works, I was wondering how i could represent what I feel through my colorist paintings. However I ended up calling this work 'Ce n'est pas coloré', referencing Magritte's 'Ceci n'est pas une pipe'. Realised way back when finishing it that it was not about colors. Colors, as stated by Katharina Grosse, are a pathway to the soul. However I would like to add that this pathway is directed by all the other elems such as brushmark type and layer composition. I soon stated that this was not about colors all along but something more intricate. A rebelion to the color."

Gerard Almirall is a catalan artist based in Bonn. He studies Fine Arts in Alanus Hochschule and in the University of Barcelona.

"In our increasingly industrialized world, a space where you can live with inner peace is difficult to find. The need to move further and further away from neuralgic centers and pavement ecosystems becomes the oniric work.

In the oniric work the landscape becomes space and the figures become essences. Thus causing the transformation of the romantic landscape into a reimagined topography. In this type of composition, the observer's imagination is able to complete the chaos that the disordered brushstrokes and glazes initially create. In this way, a dialogue is generated between the observer's imagination and the artist's intention."

The viewer is invited to feel and escape the noise. Generate shapes, figures and stories. An invitation to the therapeutic fable and to cloud rationality.
