Warm colours characterise the ambiance of Tuscany. From the colours of her surroundings, the artist derives the palette with which she captures the landscape aroud her. Almost romantically, the works tell of more than just the aesthetics of landscape but also carry historical relevance. Open-air painting, or plein-air painting, is a practice that involves a certain amount of surprise and chance, which at its best guides the artist. With the motif always in mind, easel and painting case are the accompaniment for the sessions, which usually last several hours, and the works thus carry the direct influence of the Tuscan landscape.
Judit Flamich
