Fragments of the Work "People we love are never exactly the way we desire them", 2024
The pursuit of what is unattainable is a central part of the human experience of love and desire. Eros arises from a sense of lack.
This constant striving and feeling of deficiency make Eros a state of perpetual longing.

Lara Rocho
Based in Berlin, she is working at the intersection of textile art, sculpture, and material. In her works, she creates expansive textile installations and combines various materials through a process-oriented approach. This results in fragments with organic, eccentric forms that juxtapose or differentiate themselves in softness, transparency, and hardness. In the end, textile tableaux are created that play with being able to be touched through structure and materiality.
Her work always aims to inspire a new way of looking at textiles and space. She explores complex stories from love and relationships to the subconscious, inspired by mythological motifs that help reflect inner conflicts.
